Paulsen: Audio/Video Specialist
We are seeking a creative and technically skilled Audio/Video Specialist to help bring stories of agriculture, energy, and rural America to life through compelling video and multimedia content. This role blends storytelling, production, and editing expertise — turning ideas into polished content that moves audiences and delivers real business results for our clients.
You will work closely with our Creative, Strategy, and Account teams to concept, capture, edit, and deliver high-quality video and audio content across digital, social, broadcast, and live environments.
The Ideal Candidate
Are you equal parts storyteller and technician? Do you see shots before they happen and hear edits while filming? Can you move seamlessly from field production to post-production while keeping quality, pacing, and brand storytelling front and center?
If lighting setups, frame rates, audio levels, color grading, motion pacing, and storytelling structure excite you — and you’re energized by capturing real people and authentic moments — we want to meet you.
What You’ll Do
Capture Stories: Film high-quality video and audio content on-location and in-studio, often across agricultural, rural, and industrial environments.
Edit & Produce: Transform raw footage into engaging final deliverables, including brand videos, social content, podcasts, interviews, product videos, and campaign assets.
Collaborate: Partner with Creative Directors, Strategists, and Account teams to align storytelling with client goals and campaign strategy.
Own Production Quality: Manage lighting, sound, framing, and technical execution to ensure professional-level production standards.
Create for Modern Channels: Optimize content for multiple platforms — social media, YouTube, streaming, websites, paid media, and emerging formats.
Stay Curious: Bring new ideas, formats, tools, and storytelling approaches that keep Paulsen and our clients ahead of industry trends.
What You Bring
Experience: 2–5 years producing, filming, and editing video content (agency or production environment preferred).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro required; After Effects and Audition preferred).
Production Knowledge: Strong understanding of cameras, lighting, audio capture, composition, and post-production workflows.
Storytelling Instinct: Ability to craft narratives that feel authentic, human, and emotionally engaging.
Adaptability: Comfort working in fast-paced environments — from farms, energy projects and job sites to studios and events.
Mindset: Positive, collaborative, self-starting, and excited to build something meaningful alongside a growing team.
What We Offer
We believe great storytellers deserve a great environment:
Competitive Benefits
Retirement: Generous SEP contributions
Bonuses: Quarterly bonuses, profit sharing, and monthly incentives
Creative Ownership: Opportunity to shape the visual voice of leading ag, energy and rural brands
Real Variety: No two shoots or stories look the same
Success in This Role
Success means consistently delivering high-quality content that connects emotionally, meets deadlines, and elevates both our clients and the Paulsen brand. You’ll be trusted as a creative partner who helps translate strategy into stories that matter.
