Paulsen: Front-End / Web Developer

Paulsen is looking for a curious, motivated developer who loves building modern websites and digital experiences. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who has a strong foundation in front-end development, enjoys learning new technologies, and wants hands-on experience working on real projects for national brands.

You’ll work closely with designers, developers, strategists, and account teams to create responsive websites, interactive experiences, and CMS-driven platforms — primarily in Craft CMS, with growing opportunities in headless architecture and modern JavaScript frameworks.

We care less about years of experience and more about problem-solving ability, curiosity, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow.

What You’ll Do

  • Build responsive websites and digital experiences for web and mobile

  • Develop front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript

  • Work within Craft CMS using Twig templating

  • Contribute to projects using React, Svelte, and modern front-end frameworks

  • Assist with headless CMS implementations and API-driven digital experiences

  • Collaborate closely with designers to bring UI/UX concepts to life

  • Use Git and modern development workflows to manage code and deployments

  • Participate in code reviews, collaboration sessions, and brainstorming meetings

  • Explore and implement AI-assisted development workflows and emerging technologies

  • Rapidly prototype ideas and iterate based on team and client feedback

  • Help ensure websites are accessible, performant, SEO-friendly, and scalable

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript fundamentals

  • Familiarity with responsive design and modern web development practices

  • Experience with or exposure to React, Svelte, or similar frameworks

  • Basic understanding of PHP and/or server-side development concepts

  • Interest in CMS-driven development, especially Craft CMS and Twig templating

  • Understanding of Git and version control workflows

  • Strong attention to detail and appreciation for polished UI/UX

  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving technologies and workflows

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Portfolio, GitHub account, or examples of work including personal, freelance, school, or professional projects

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with Craft CMS

  • Experience with headless CMS architecture

  • Familiarity with AI coding tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Claude

  • Understanding of accessibility standards and WCAG/ADA best practices

  • Experience deploying projects to platforms such as AWS or Vercel

  • Exposure to Tailwind CSS or component-based design systems
