Plums Cooking: Full-Time Marketing Coordinator

For the Love of Food

Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota
Type: Full-Time
Reports to: Freelance Marketing Executive + Ownership Team

About the Role

We’re looking for an entry-level Marketing Coordinator who is not only eager to learn, but genuinely passionate about food, cooking, and meaningful experiences. Our brand is built For the Love of Food — and we’re searching for someone who feels that in their bones.

This role works under the direction of our freelance Marketing Executive, executing a clearly defined marketing plan and budget. You’ll help bring our food-focused brand to life across digital channels, campaigns, and customer touchpoints.

This is an ideal role for someone early in their marketing career who wants structure, mentorship, and hands-on experience in a business centered around flavor, community, and experiences.

What You’ll Do

You’ll focus on execution, coordination, and storytelling, not strategy-from-scratch.

  • Execute marketing initiatives based on a prepared marketing plan

  • Assist with social media scheduling, posting, and community engagement

  • Support email marketing campaigns (setup, scheduling, reporting)

  • Help create food- and experience-driven content (copy, basic graphics, photo/video coordination)

  • Maintain marketing calendars, timelines, and task lists

  • Assist with tracking budgets, invoices, and campaign performance

  • Gather analytics and help prepare performance summaries

  • Coordinate with designers, vendors, photographers, and internal teams

  • Support promotions, in-store events, classes, tastings, or special experiences

What We’re Looking For

This is an entry-level role, but passion and curiosity matter just as much as experience.

  • 0–3 years of marketing, communications, or related experience

  • A genuine love of food, cooking, entertaining, or food culture

  • Interest in creating and supporting memorable customer experiences

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Comfortable following direction and collaborating closely with leadership

  • Familiarity with social media platforms and basic digital marketing tools

  • Experience with Canva, email platforms, or analytics tools is a plus

  • Clear written communication and a positive, proactive attitude

Why You’ll Love Working With Us

  • You’ll work with a brand built For the Love of Food

  • Direct mentorship from an experienced Marketing Executive

  • Real exposure to campaigns, budgets, and performance metrics

  • A structured role with clear priorities and support

  • Opportunities to grow alongside the brand
