What You Can Expect In This Role
Responsible for crafting content and managing marketing projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed with established deadlines; collaborate across the organization with subject matter experts, executive leadership, sales, distribution partners, life insurance producers, and compliance representatives. A strong emphasis is placed on leading and managing a wide variety of marketing projects, including sales material, digital content, email campaigns, video scripts, sales concepts, field communications, social media, print pieces, and more. Additional responsibilities include the direct management and coordination of marketing initiatives alongside project leaders, marketing strategists, graphic designers, marketing automation, compliance representatives, and a diverse group of subject matter experts, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and exceed content quality expectations.
What You'll Do In This Role
• Ability to write creative, persuasive, and compelling marketing content that strongly aligns with marketing strategy and overall company goals, and to execute on projects that meet high volume and quality standards.
• Prioritize and manage a large volume of content projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards to meet the dynamic needs of the organization.
• Work with experts, leaders, and partners to develop impactful marketing materials and campaigns, focusing on research, writing, editing, and approvals for various media.
• Lead marketing communications projects from inception to execution through an electronic project management system, assigning workflows, recording comments and approvals, and assigning tasks in order to meet strict deadlines. Suggest improvements to processes that will enable greater efficiencies.
• Develop high-impact and persuasive marketing copy for a variety of mediums, including print, electronic, video, web, and social media; interpret and incorporate, as appropriate, recommendations of various business partners and compliance representatives as part of the review and approval process.
• Collaborate well with marketing strategists, graphic designers, video producers, web development, production specialists, and marketing automation regarding creative direction and distribution methods.
• Regularly and thoroughly participate in proofreading peer content for errors as well as offer constructive feedback when appropriate.
• Work with marketing strategy team to execute marketing communications plans that focus on the organization’s sales goals, initiatives, and specific distribution channels; collaborate with other departments in the development of marketing materials, including theme, content, and image recommendations.
• Actively participate in brainstorming and ideation sessions.
• Effectively manage time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently, setting high standards of performance for self and others; assume responsibility and accountability for successfully tracking, reporting on, and completing assignments or tasks. Self-impose standards of excellence rather than having standards imposed.
• Provide promotional support for sales meetings through the development of presentation and on-site materials.
• Identify opportunities for repurposing, restructuring, or revising existing content and materials.
• Maintain a satisfactory level of technical, functional, and/or professional skill or knowledge as required by the position. Keep up with current developments and trends in areas of expertise and leverage expert knowledge to accomplish results.
• Establish and manage detailed project timelines, including milestones, dependencies, and needed resources to mitigate risks.
• Contribute to regular project status updates, cross-functional meetings, and post-project reviews to monitor progress and implement process improvements.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, English, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or equivalent business experience Preferred
Minimum 3 years' related experience in Marketing Communications Preferred
Outstanding copywriting and editing skills; comfortable contributing to a creative and collaborative work environment
Confident and experienced in managing multiple projects and deadlines, as well as able to flex work practices and priorities in response to changing conditions or work demands
Demonstrated high degree of initiative and accountability, with strong organizational skills and a high level of detail orientation
Strong research skills; ability to identify appropriate search resources and find, collect, analyze, interpret, and evaluate information that is relevant
Ability to learn quickly and be proactive in planning and problem solving
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate in writing both technical data and promotional materials
Knowledge of, and ability to, execute best practices in writing for print, digital marketing, video, web, and social media
Knowledge of Associated Press (AP) and American Psychological Association (APA) styles
Working knowledge of computer operating systems, including Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and major social media platforms such as LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram.
Ability to work without close supervision, taking responsibility to ensure assigned projects are completed on time and within quality standards
Ability to work well with all types of individuals at all levels of the organization, including peers, team collaborators, administrative office, executive leadership, and field personnel
Knowledge of integrated marketing and email platforms, such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, is a plus
Experience utilizing AI-based tools, such as ChatGPT, to generate, refine, and optimize content across various platforms, including leveraging AI to develop original content ideas, enhance writing style and tone, and improve content accuracy and engagement. AI experience is a plus.
Ability to prepare and present moderately complex topics in a clear and simplified way
Knowledge and ability to understand and interpret organizational information, including highly technical terminology relating to life insurance products
Self-starter and strategic mindset
Insurance knowledge and/or willingness to develop knowledge of life insurance and financial products and services
Strong project management skills and attention to detail are crucial
Ability to receive and apply constructive feedback
5% Occasional travel for training events, supported conferences, or to various office branches may be possible.

Salary Range Information
USD $48,418.00 - USD $80,696.00 /Yr. Range includes data points from multiple labor markets. Specific range is dependent on the labor market where the incumbent will be hired to perform the position. Starting salary is dependent on candidate qualifications and experience. For a narrower salary range specific to your labor market, please inquire.
