Epicosity: Art Director

JOB DESCRIPTION
You’re responsible for the visual style of clients’ brands. You will determine how to best represent a concept visually. In conjunction with the Creative Director, you will determine which photos and design elements will be used. You will develop the overall look and style for print, video, web, and digital ad campaigns.

You will play a role in presenting creative to clients using thoughtful rationale. You’ll also play a key role in the design and formatting of marketing plans, proposals, and presentations.

You’re responsible for working with print vendors, approving proofs, and attending press checks if necessary. You are also responsible for maintaining all digital files and assets and properly saving and archiving each on our server.

You will provide guidance and mentoring for Production Artists and Designers. As such, you will also be responsible for articulating your vision to Production Artists and Designers, as well as reviewing and approving any work created by them.

Graphic Design Excellence

You’re responsible for staying current on graphic design trends and ensuring that the visual work produced contributes to meeting client goals, meeting agency standards and furthering creative reputation.

Efficient Completion of Work
Adhere to budgets and timelines and work to produce the best possible outcome within the boundaries of each.  

Work Collaboratively
Work collaboratively with writers, video and web to create amazing work through a bold visual approach.

Think Strategically
Go beyond visual appeal to bring true strategic thinking into what you do to solve client problems.   

 

OTHER STUFF YOU’LL DO

  • Always look for opportunities to elevate our creative work.  

  • Keep timelines, budgets, social sensitivities, team capabilities, and client expectations in mind in all that you do.

  • Contribute to collaborative brainstorming sessions to create solutions that stand out in the marketplace.

  • Always ensure client brand standards are being met through print and digital media.

  • Oversee Production Artists to ensure quality work is being produced throughout the agency.

 

SOFTWARE & PROCESS KNOWLEDGE

  • Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)

  • Microsoft Office

  • Excellent communication skills through Microsoft Teams and Workfront
