Missouri River: Digital Engagement Strategist

We are looking for a creative Digital Engagement Strategist who assists in planning, developing, implementing, and managing the overall digital marketing strategy and initiatives to engage in meaningful exchanges and create lasting relationships with the organization’s members and customers.

As a Digital Engagement Strategist, you will be key in creating communication assets that help the organization accomplish its strategic priorities. The Digital Engagement Strategist is also responsible for providing research and analysis for all MRES social media activities. As a vital member of the Communications Team, you will assist with efforts including analytics, tagging, user journey, and adapting campaigns to deliver higher quality responses and improve conversion rates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Social Media Management:

  • Assist with curating and creating content on behalf of MRES and its members.

  • Collaborate on social media campaigns and day-to-day activities, as directed.

  • Monitor the web for mentions and interactions that involve and/or are relevant to the organization and/or its members, as directed.

  • Demonstrate an ability to receive direction and adapt to multiple social media platforms.

  • Develop engaging organic and digital strategies, as directed.

  • Identify emerging trends in social media tactics and strategies.

  • Monitor trends in social media tools and applications for adoption.

  • Perform regular analysis of results and performance of ongoing marketing campaigns within GA4 and specific media platforms, as directed.

  • Assist with script writing and production of the organization’s videos for social media platforms, as directed.

Education and/or Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in communications, public relations, marketing, or journalism, plus a minimum of five years of related experience as a digital strategist; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Photography, videography and graphic design skills are preferred.

  • Must understand and apply plain language principles when writing for the public and consider how copy will be read for multicultural audiences.
