Missouri River Energy Services: Graphic Designer

Missouri River Energy Services is looking for a highly motivated and multi-talented individual to join their organization as a graphic designer at their Sioux Falls headquarters. In this role, you will be supporting internal and external needs for art and design, following brand guidelines, typography, and photography to promote their organization. This person will assist in creating and designing marketing and communication materials for print and electronic media including websites, social media, newsletters, annual reports, brochures, infographics and other communication/marketing campaigns.

Graphic Designer Qualifications:

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree in art, graphic design or a related field (2-year will be considered)

  • 5+ years’ experience in a creative, marketing or advertising or design environment

  • A portfolio that demonstrates strong design and brand mastery of previous work

  • High level of proficiency in using current industry-standard graphic arts technology, including, but not limited to, the following: Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator

  • Solid knowledge of design and visual principles

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively with other internal departments

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects

  • Ability to understand the needs of the target audiences

  • Ability to work independently, to follow directions, and to work as part of a team

  • Possess a current/valid driver’s license with the ability to travel occasionally

  • Photography and videography knowledge a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the graphic design process from start to finish and serves as the project manager for in-house and contracted graphic design services and projects

  • Produces a wide variety of quality promotional and publicity materials in print or digital formats—and creates original designs that adhere to the company’s brand and graphic standards

  • Conceptualize, design, and produce professional graphic materials

  • Initiate project activity, manage requests, take ownership, and follow through to completion

  • Conduct follow-ups with individuals as necessary, including internal clients and external vendors

  • Demonstrate extreme accuracy in all communications and presentations, proof all materials, and secure appropriate final approval

  • Maintain the organization’s identity, quality and consistency in all graphic presentations

  • Possesses knowledge of print and web production to aid graphic design

  • Coordinate publications, signage, and promotional product orders and reorders

  • Maintain an organized archive of images, photos, and previous work products

  • Successfully manage multiple projects and deadlines with confidence and accuracy

  • Communicate effectively, timely, and professionally with all internal and external contacts
