Mud Mile: Marketing Strategist

The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker with the ability to connect creativity with analytics, possess a willingness to dive into research, and the ability to bring content strategies to life across blogs, social media, email, paid placements, and beyond. This role will involve collaborating closely with our digital and content teams to tell – and sell – stories that move the needle for our partners.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with partners to understand their business objectives, audiences, and brand voice.
Develop integrated marketing strategies with a strong emphasis on content marketing, meeting partner objectives, and driving audience engagement.
Conduct research on industries, competitors, and target audiences to uncover insights that inform content strategy.
Collaborate with the strategy team to build and present strategic plans, editorial calendars, and campaign roadmaps to partners and internal teams.
Collaborate with creative and digital teams to bring strategies to life across blogs, social media, email, paid campaigns, and other channels.
Track, measure, and report on campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for optimization. Experience with tools such as Tableau and Looker Studio is a plus.
Stay up to date on marketing trends, tools, and content distribution strategies to keep partner campaigns fresh and effective.
Support new business efforts by contributing strategic thinking and campaign ideas during the proposal process.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
1-3 years of experience in marketing strategy.
Strong background in content marketing and digital strategy.
Familiarity with SEO, analytics, and marketing automation tools (Google Analytics, HubSpot, SEMrush, etc.).
Excellent presentation and communication skills. Must be able to simplify complex ideas for clients.
Creative thinker with strong problem solving skills and an eye for both big picture strategy and tactical execution.
In-depth understanding of social media trends and best practices for various platforms.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.Preference will be given to candidates available to work from either our Omaha or Sioux Falls office, but we will consider candidates at remote locations. Must be available to travel and work occasional nights and weekends.
